INTERNATIONAL DAY OF GIRLS AND WOMEN IN SCIENCE: 11 FEBRUARY 2022

THEME: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Water Unites Us

It is a well-known fact that the field of Science and Technology is dominated by males with women only making up approximately 28% of the workforce in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). It is imperative to increase this percentage as this will contribute to new talent, fresh viewpoints and increased creativity as well as the achievement of the internationally agreed development goals, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

We, at Eversdal Primary School, are proud of the opportunities given to all our children to develop their STEM skills; we have Equity, Diversity and Inclusion allowing each child to develop their potential and ultimately make an informed choice in their future studies and ultimately in their chosen career.
