On Thursday, 22 February 2018, all our dedicated netball coaches attended a very informative coaching clinic, hosted by netball experts, Gertrude Roux and Caroline Roets.

Our Ever coaches look forward to the new season and they are eager to implement all that they have learnt from these avid ladies. With new “tricks of the trade” we are more motivated and have a burning desire to succeed.

May this season be the best yet!

How blessed are we at Eversdal Primary School!  We were again privileged to have a very good netball season in the beautiful surroundings of Eversdal.  Most of our games were played on our well-kept courts of which we are so proud!

Congratulations to our players for every triumph on and off the court.  Well done to every coach and assistant coach – your hard work and dedication paid off.

Volgende seisoen maak ons weer so!

On Thursday evening, 3 August, Eversdal hosted 10 schools to compete in the Chas Everitt Fast 5 tournament. It was the 3rd of its kind, once again sponsored by Chas Everitt.

The tournament ended in an unlikely 3 way tie. A nerve wrecking shoot-out, separated the 3 teams. Gene Louw ended as 3rd place winners, Durbanville took 2nd place and De Kuilen walked away as victors of the night.

Quote: Sportsmanship is the ability to win without bragging, to lose without complaining and to play while respecting others.

On Saturday, 3 June, the U.13A Netball team competed in the second round of the Top Schools Tournament.  Our girls played 3 games against Gene Louw, Bastion and Zwaanswyk respectively.

On Saturday, 20 May, our Evers went head-to-head against the very strong teams of Gene Louw. A cold and wintery morning made for a slow start.

The Netball fast five tournament hosted by Kenridge Primary School, on Saturday the 13th of May, made our u/12 and u/13 C&D girls take a walk on the wild side.  Wild, because instead of 7 players per team, they were now reduced to 5, which meant the game was automatically a faster paced game than usual.  It was a development tournament where our girls had fun throughout the day.  They could improve on skills needed for normal netball games, as they were required to think and act a lot faster than usual.

Although it was a long day, it went by rather quickly and both u/12 & u/13 teams had a “ball”.

This past Saturday, our school hosted Paarl Gimnasium for what would be a tough battle.  Our netball girls played very well, winning most of their games.  The U.13B netball girls of both teams, as well as their coaches, wore white ribbons in honour of their teachers who recently passed.

This past Saturday, our Everfs travelled to Swartland, a small town situated in the heart of the Boland. Our girls played exceptional netball and won 95% of their games. We are immensely proud of our girls.

On Wednesday, 26 April, our coaches, together with 23 netball players took the long road to Knysna.  Ons o/12A, o/13B en o/13A’s neem jaarliks deel aan die Knysna-netbaltoernooi.  Each teams played a total 12 games over 3 days, in extreme heat. A big thank you to all the parents and sponsors for giving our children this amazing opportunity. Volgende jaar maak ons weer so!

Netball vs Van Riebeeckstrand Saturday, 22 April

Eversdal hosted Van Riebeeckstrand last Saturday, it was the the first netball games for the season. Our girls were filled with enthusiasm, the excitement was visible on their faces. We had an amazing start to our netball season, winning more than 80% of our games. We are proud of every Ever who took part with such enthusiasm. We thank every parent who supported our teams.

May this be the first of many wonderful achievements.
