The ICT Curriculum Team received the Technology Enhanced Teaching and Learning Runner-up Award at the 2021 National Teaching Awards, Provincial Ceremony. Mr Burger and Mrs Hiloise represented our exceptional staff at the ceremony.
The technology integration journey that our school embarked on since 2012, focused on changing the ways we teach. We had to up-skill staff, develop infrastructure and implement technology in the classroom so that we provide our learners with an individual instrument to develop their skills and effectively function in an electronic world.
Our staff worked very hard changing our teaching philosophy, developing our own curriculum and presenting content in an interactive multimedia format to ensure that learning can take place anywhere anytime. We could seamlessly continue teaching when Covid-19 lockdown was announced, thus ensuring that our learners receives the best education we can provide.
Over the years we could help and support so many other schools and universities to ensure that our hard work reaches more than our own community.
