EVERSDAL SLAGGEREED VIR DIE NUWE SKOOLJAAR!
Met die skole se heropening wat uitgestel is, personeel wat vanaf 25 Januarie 2021 al moes aanmeld en adminpersoneel wat ook telefone begin beman het, het baie mense gevra waarom dit so lank voor die heropening moes geskied, veral aangesien alle beplanning reeds einde 2020 afgehandel is.
Rest assured, the WCED kept us busy with enough admin, due dates, checks and emails – due dates often within hours of receiving the mails!
One of the first tasks was to distribute the books to the different classes for the Gr 1-7 learners. Here our teaching assistants played a big role, carrying stacks of books up and down the big school. Books had to be packed for every individual learner from Gr 4-7 and these ‘book parcels’ are ready for the ‘drive thru’ next week.
Ook in elke vakgebied het verskeie mediasiesessies plaasgevind, gereël deur die Distrikskantoor. Hierdie twee ure lange sessies is in die onderskeie vakspanne geluister, dus is ons personeel slaggereed om vanaf Dag 1 te begin onderrig.
A new addition to our normal start of the year programme, were the different Information Sessions by our class educators. Two sessions took place and parents could log in for the sessions, either in the morning or the afternoon. The broadcasts went well and our parents could meet the class educators in a different way.
Ook ons Steunpersoneel het baie hard gewerk. Aan die noordekant van die skool, langs die ingang na die Karpark, is ‘n nuwe palisadeheining opgerig, wat bydra om die estetiese voorkoms van die skoolaansig te verbeter. Behalwe al die instandhoudingswerk buite, is klaskamervloere gepolitoer, mure gewas en verfwerk opgeknap. Ons is regtig baie trots op almal wat so hard werk om ons skool gereed te maak vir 15 Februarie.
On a technical side the curriculum has been distributed to our Gr 4-7 learners and parents/learners had the opportunity to come to the school if they experienced any technical issues with their iPads – another way to ensure that we will be ready to start our curriculum delivery from day 1.
Ons is opgewonde om ook van 2021 ‘n sukses te maak!
