OUR BUSY LIBRARY

On the very first day of school, 7 January 2019, when it was only the teachers at school, a teacher came to the library to take out a block loan for her whole class! Wonderful!

The “Big Bang” started!

The library opened for our learners on the 16th of January. From the start the learners eagerly and enthusiastically lined up to take out books and more books! Our library monitors were still in training but adapted very quickly to do an excellent job!

We celebrated World Read Aloud Day, February 1st, by reading aloud in our classes! Some of our Gr. 6 and Gr.7 learners read to the little ones in Gr.1, Gr.2 and Gr.3.  I don’t know who had more fun, the ”Readers” or the “Listeners”? Bookmarks, pictures to colour in and badges to wear were handed out.

A Book Sale by The Book People on 13 and 14 March, closed a very busy library term. We are very excited about the second term!
