The U/14 Boys Hockey teams could hardly wait to get on the bus to Knysna. The boys were armed with loads of excitement and lots of sweets. Everyone was eager to get to Riversdale for lunch. The teachers in the bus were hoping for some peace and quiet after lunch, but this was never the case.
We had some mixed results on day 1 against the likes of Gene Louw, Woodridge and Paarl Boys. It was a long and hot day in the sun, which gave our teams a good reason to relax in the waters of Adventure Land.
The last day had a few exciting fixtures on the table. The U/14A’s beat Hudson Park in a tense affair after enjoying a lot of support from parents and other schools. We quickly grabbed our packed lunches and started the journey back home. Our hockey boys had a busy weekend, after playing 12 and 13 matches respectively.
As we reflect on another successful Knysna Boys Hockey Tour we would like to thank our school and parents who made this weekend possible. Our U/14 Hockey players should be commended for playing great hockey and being proud Evers.
